Instrument Day was such a fun way to end our Gold Stars semester. I hope to see you all in Brown Teddy Bears next fall!

I’ve enjoyed watching your children grow as musicians this semester. I appreciate the many ways you contributed to our class and hope you have enjoyed the benefits of attending class with your child!

Whether or not parents are confident musicians, their participation is a vital part of a child’s emerging musicianship. Parental involvement is a sign that music is a worthwhile endeavor and something to be enjoyed by all ages and ability levels. It is more important at this stage for adults to model the enjoyment of music than it is to demonstrate proficiency. So, wherever you fall on the scale from novice to accomplished musician, keep listening, singing, dancing, and playing along with your children. Watch the results unfold!

Optional Home Fun Activity: No activity this week. If you missed any activity during the semester, you may want to complete it now.

(Remember, these activities are optional but can be a great bonding experience to do with your child during the week.)
